Former Bertarelli-funding investigator published paper on successful gene therapy treatment of deafness in humans

Zheng-Yi Chen, an investigator previously funded by the Bertarelli research program, is part of a team that has achieved successful gene therapy treatment of deafness in human patients! His paper, describing delivery of the OTOF coding sequence with dual AAV vectors to the inner ear, was originally published in The Lancet on January 24, 2024.
